The Family Day Center is only day center in the Colorado Springs area exclusively addressing the needs of families experiencing homelessness and poverty. The FDC offers families a safe haven with opportunities to participate in adult and child enrichment activities throughout the day, receive needed services on-site, and referrals to other agencies as needed.
The day center will be located inside the Hanifen Center at Marian House and will operate as a pilot project between Catholic Charities of Central Colorado and Family Promise of Colorado Springs.
Services provided:
Coordinated intake and assessment for families needing services from multiple providers; dedicated case managers to assist families in accessing services, finding employment, locating shelter, and setting goals and plans to move out of crisis; computer and internet access; homework assistance and child development programs; adult training/employment assistance and indoor play space for children.
