Mission Statement
Pikes Peak Respite Services is a human service agency providing respite services, family advocacy, community accessibility, homemaker, and mentorship services. We are an experienced service driven team dedicated to providing safe, quality, and worry free care for your loved ones.
PPRS was developed due to a need in our community for support of individuals with disabilities and those who care for them. Respite care is defined as providing a break to primary caregivers for individual with developmental disabilities and medical conditions that require intense daily caregiving for activities of daily living.
Caregivers that work for PPRS undergo a finger print back ground check with CBI and FBI, CPR/First Aid, as well as intense training programs, all with in the first 90 days. Our caregivers have compassion and the desire and to work with people with varying needs and our staff turn-over is very low.
What is High Fidelity Wraparound Services?
Pikes Peak Respite Services is proud to provide our community with High Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) services, including Intensive Support and Transition Support, as part of our commitment to supporting families with complex needs. HFW is a personalized and culturally-responsive approach to care coordination that aims to empower families, fostering self-efficacy and promoting overall well-being. By prioritizing the unique needs of each family, HFW ensures a comprehensive and effective plan is implemented.
HFW services are designed for children and youth who are at risk of out-of-home placement. Our skilled facilitators bring together various agencies, informal supports, and neutral parties to ensure a balanced and collaborative approach to care coordination. We are dedicated to integrating the planning process with HFW principles, which involves a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including mental and physical health providers, school district representatives, and agency representatives.
