At Play to Remember, we know that you want to positively interact with someone who has dementia. In order to do that, you need to be able to engage them. The problem is you don’t know how and you don’t have any tools. That makes you feel helpless and reluctant to visit. We believe that you shouldn’t have to feel that way. We understand what it feels like to have nothing to do or talk about for an entire afternoon which is why we provide games and activities that can make interacting with loved ones easier.
Here’s how:
1. Check out the available games and kits. See how easy they are to use and modify.
2. Place an order for the kits that best suit your needs.
3. When your kit arrives, pull a game from the tote bag and start playing.
It’s that simple!
So, order your kit today! Stop feeling reluctant and start looking forward to creating meaningful moments together.
What we know to be true –
I know what it feels like to want to connect with someone with dementia because my mother had Alzheimer’s disease. Words no longer worked for her. She was barely there. Years after she passed, I realized that simple games and activities, pulled from my early childhood teaching background, would have been effective ways to interact with her.
That is the purporse of games from Play to Remember.
