The Salvation Army was founded in 1865 to help the poor, the homeless, the hungry and those in need or in crisis. The organization arrived in El Paso County in 1889 and continues to help those in need through various [programs and services].
All donations remain in El Paso County to fund local assistance services.

Colorado Springs, CO – May 25, 2023: A ceremonial ribbon-cutting with community partners and city officials, including Mayor, Yemi Mobolade, Chamber President, Johnna Reeder-Klemeyer, El Pomar President and CEO, Kyle Hybl, Weidner Property Management Vice President – Public Relations and Government Affairs, Greg Cerbana, Nunn Construction and other partners and donors. The event officially launched the city’s only family shelter for families experiencing homelessness.
